"And it was revealed in mine ears by the Lord of hosts, Surely this iniqutiy shall not be purged from you till ye die, saith the Lord God of hosts."
This verse is the conclusion of these verses of description of sin being condemned, announced and destroyed. Truly when the Lord pronounces such punishment upon a people, any people, they are finished. Give heed to these things, for our days mirror the rebellion of Judah and Jerusalem.
and it was revealed in mine ears by the Lord of hosts - in the very hearing, God spoke to His servant; Many have ears to hear but cannot hear. The Lord is revealing, sharing, speaking to many, but few seem to give regard or hear what He is saying.
"mine ears' is the very personal relationship that God, Who could speak to anyone, or everyone, chooses to speak in 'mine ears'. May my hearing being attentive to what HE would say. May I know His voice without problems or difficulties; 'My sheep hear My voice'.
