Isaiah 11:10

"And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek:  and His rest shall be glorious."

A continued Messianic prophecy, 700 years before Christ.  EAch prophecy declares the power of God to foretell what shall  be.  Who else can do this but God?  There is none.

And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse - word study/phrase, 'in that day';  There is to be a day that bring forth the promise from God about the Christ.  'In that day' is a special revelation found over 100 times in the Bible that leads God's people to God's will.  It is that which shall be, but is not yet.  'In that day' is a day of which only God, Who is omniscient, and omnipresent would know of.  God had foretold from Genesis 3 that He would make a way.  He promsied to Abraham that out of his line there would be a King.  He promised to Moses that there would be a great High Priest.  He promised to DAvid, that he would always have a King to sit on the throne from His line.  The Lord Jesus Christ, is the King of Kings, and the Lord of Lords.  He is Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.

Out of the root of Jesse was the prophecy.  The root came from Abraham, from Isacce, from Jacob of the tribe of Judah.  David, the son of Jesse, the son of Obed, the son of Boaz and Ruth, what a glorious work told there in the book of Ruth and the workings of God for His purposes.
