"Remember me, O my God, concerning this, and wipe not out my good deeds that I have done for the house of my God, and for the offices thereof."
Four times in this chapter, Nehemiah asks the Lord to remember him. And it is the conclusion of all his deeds for good to recanted. Remember me, O my God - is it possible for the Lord to forget us? The Lord cannot forget us, for we are engraven on the palms of His hands. We are brought before Him constantly by the angels and our Great Intercessor, the Lord Jesus. He saw us while we were yet in sin; He saw us before the world was formed. He cannot forget us. Concerning this - he is asking the Lord to remember him for his actions of good; Nehemiah had taken control of the chaos and made order out of it. The priests were being neglected and the house of the Lord forsaken because the tithe was not being brought in and managed. And because the tithe that supported the priest and singers was not brought into the house of the Lord, they had to go to their fields to work to provide for themselves. Nehemiah restored the tithes, set treasureers over it and the priests and singers returned to begin the worship and sacrifices in the house of the Lord. He is asking for the Lord to view and know of his good for them and the house fo the Lord. It is not possible that the Lord cannot see the good works of His people.
