Job 21:14

"Therefore they say unto God, Depart from us; for we desire not the knowledge of thy ways."

Job is answering his friends accusations. And in speaking now of the wicked as was started last chapter, Job continues the ways of such evil men. Therefore they say unto God - men answer God in many different ways, through the heart, the mind, their voices and their actions; What are men saying unto God today? What have you said to Him today? A true Christian, speaks unto the Lord, glory and praise of His ways and Who He is , their everlasting Father, Savior and precious Spirit. they speak to Him with words of adoration, declaring all His great ways. The truly anointed ones in His Presence stay in constant commuication with Him, 'They pray without ceasing'. But too many of His children today, are sporadic with Him and only say things that they desire to Him. they do not know how to praise Him nor adore Him. They only come with a list of wants and needs. No confession, no kingdom prayers, no salvation prayers for the lost, only selfish immediate needs around them. They say things unto God that does not honor Hm nor glorify Him. But the wicked. . . they only use His Name in vain. Depart from us - the wicked do not want the Presence of the Lord any where near them; Hell is designed for such a place, that they wished for God to be apart from them, He will grant them their desires. Oh, how horrible the thought that God is absent. Evil men wish to experience no conviction, no heart turn, no goodness near them. And in order for that to happen they say unto God, 'Depart from us'. but there is also those that are under the preaching of the Gospel, they are under conviction, and the invitation is being extended. And when they come to the time of decision, 'Chose you this day who you will serve.' Their choice is rejection of Christ, and they cry out, 'Depart from us, I don't want you in my life'. but what of Samson, a vessel of the Lord's, who rose up as at other times, but he wist not that the Lord had departed from him. It is the awful thing when men reject Christ and ask of Him to depart from them, but what say of those that have sinned grossly against the Lord and He departs from us. For the Lord cannot abide in sin, nor look upon it. And when men are in sin, they desire for Him to depart from them. And He departs. Be not so careless with the Presence of the Lord believer that in your sinful ways and unbelieving heart that in actions you say, 'Depart from me'. The wicked declare openly and in all their ways, but what does a child of God have in behaving in the same manner? For we desire not the knowledge of Thy ways - word study, way;
