Job 18:5

"Yea, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine."

Job's friend retorts what they already know, God will judge the wicked. Yea, the light of the wicked shall be put out - their light shines for a brief moment and then it is extinuished; How solemn the fact should be considered as we read this verse. There is a truth for all men, eternity is coming. And what shall their eternity be? He is address the wicked here and there determined end is one fate, hell. Oh, what shall be done to rescue them when God stands forth to vanquish His enemies. Those that have mocked, jeered, reproved, hated and scorned the Word of life shall all find His wrath so fierce and piercing. He will put their light out, never more to know light. In hell where there is darkness, penterating darkness. No hope, no rescue, no reprieve, they are finished. No death to end their sorrow and agonizing torture, they are there for eternity to endure.
