Esther 3:3

"Then the king's servants, which were in the king's gate, said unto Mordecai, Why transgressest thou the king's commandment?'

No doubt, these men around Mordecai were all looking for a reason to stoke trouble. With Mordecai refusing to bow to Haman, they found their way to stir trouble. Note, there is always someone looking to stick their nose in and meddle. Meddlers are a dime a dozen, the wise are rare gems. Then the king's servants - are we not children of the king?; Let us know our blessed place of service and loyalty. I am not my own, but I am His. I am His servant, and I desire to obey in all things, great and small. What does your heart reveal of you? Who do you serve? For too not serve the King, means you serve the devil. One or the other is where all men are found. Why transgressest thou the king's commandment? - great questions of the Bible; Found here is a question that is to be asked and answered by one and all. Are we chidlren of the King, then why do we transgress His ways? Why are we found to be unfaithful? Why does sin abound? Look upon your life and see your ways, art thou found right with Him? Or as you examine your life, do you see the corruption that abides within heart and mind? And when thou seest it, answer the question, "Why do you transgress?' He Who loved us and purchased our salvation, why do we transgress His ways? We should be found more faithful and loyal. And as we lift our eyes off ourselves and our own shame, we behold the world around us. See how they transgress His commandments. Walk among them and listen to their conversations, filled with unholy words; hear how they gossip, swear in taking His holy Name in vain, using of profanity is like water being poured out, it is continuous. See the emotional state rage in the lost; they go from extreme to extreme, angry and hateful one moment and lustful and playful of sin the next. They are submerged in iniquity. They see no need for a Savior, for they do not desire to be holy only happy. They seek from the rising of the sun to the night hours, to seek their own indulgences and ways. And if provoked to answer, 'Why do you trangress the commandment of the King?' They fly into a rage, accusing of judgment, hyporcrisy and mock about eternity. See the way of man, and what can change it? The hand of the Lord can rise up a people that will not transgress and will keep His ways faithfully. How blest are His people that do know that He can save the sinner, for such was I. He can move upon a people that have transgressed and bring contrition and brokenness. Let the hand of the Lord press down to bring an awakening and lead us to revival.
