II Kings 9:32

"And he lifted up his face to the window, and said, Who is on my side? who? And there looked out ot him two or three eunuchs."

The word of the LOrd is being fulfilled by the hand of Jehu. The sins of Israel were bad enough, but the added on the sins of Ahab and Jezebel were too much. The hand of the Lord's wrath against their evil had to be poured out. The vessel used to adminster the punishment was Jehu. Ahab had already been slain and Jezebel was living in Jezreel, no doubt, still practicing her evil. Jehu's assignment was to remove the house of Ahab from the earth. Not one was to be left. We see this as a constant mark for the kings of Israel. Their evil was so great against the Lord that they were removed from existence. The weight of this is hard to conceive. so many generations brought forth our family line and because of evil they are wiped out. No more to exist, they cease to be. Imagine the weight of this upon everything that was, now is no more. So as Jehu comes tothe city and Jezeel yells at him from the window. Jehus returns answer to her and this verse is a part of that speech. Who is on my side? who? study of great questions of the Bible; Of course, the question should have been, 'Who is on the Lord's side?' Even though Jehus is executing the will of the Lord, we learn that Jehu does no turn unto the Lord with all his heart. So his question is a selfish one, 'who is on my side?' It is not about your side or my side, it is about the Lord's side. For if we be on the Lord's side, who can come against us and harm us; for if the Lord be for us who can be against us? Think not of self here,but being with the Lord and for the Lord. Labor not for the meat that perisheth but labor for the eternal things of God. But in our society there are many who are on their own side. They think life is all about them. They know nothing of anything else but 'my side'. They live and breath for self and self-indulgence and wonder why they are never satisfied. But they that live for self are actually on the devil's side. For he gathers all that are of self and about self. They that are nto with Christ are against Christ. Now when Jehu asks the question of seeing who was on his side for righting the wrongs of this evil woman, eunuchs appeared. And there looked out to him two or three eunuchs - word study, to look; Let the eyes fix on gazing at the world and see the work of God in our midst. With so much sin and evil, God is still working and moving. He always has His people where He wants them. The work of Jehu could not be complete without these eunuchs. These that had sepearated themselves, hopefully unto the Lord's great work. They were the vessels used to destroy Jezebel. They looked, they saw the work that needed to be done and they threw her out the window to put evil away from among them. See what lies around you. Who are people for? what side are they on? See the eunuchs that are with you. And know that God Who is just andholy will vanquish and reward all evil in His set time. Make sure you are ont he right side, the Lord's side. Do not labor for self or this world or any one else, only for the Lord.
