"And also for the innocednt blood that he shed: for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood; which the Lord would not pardon."
We read in II Chronicles of Manasseh's evil reign and how he was taken into captivity. While in captivity he calls upon the Lord, Who allows for him to return to being king. There is the prayer of Manasseh found within the Acrophya. But we realize by these verse in chapter 24 of II Kings that even though the Lord is merciful to forgive and pardon, there are some things that must be accounted for and answered for. This verse alone deals with the innocent blood that he shed. And also for the innocent blood that he shed - Manasseh must have killed any and all that his desire led him to do; There must have been none safe from his hand of anger. Whether old or young, friend or foe, man or woman, he must have executed them all at his own whim. Let us know that the power of rulers has the ability to kill thousands, if not millions by a word given. But that does not detract from the repsonbility that someone must give an account of the life taken. 'For the life of the flesh is in the blood', and he who slays a man are responbile for that blood on their own hands. Let the Lord be strong to defend the innocent. We have over the last several decades allowed the death of the innocent. Millions of lives have been shed while still in the womb, oh, what wrath is against such a people that kills the next generation simply for the fact of self indulgence. WE are guilty, for allowing it and not raising a horde of prayers, messages and ultimatatums over the fact that God is going to unleash on us the same force He did upon Manasseh for this one sin alone. The innocent have been slain, and God is a just judge and will make us give an answer for the death of these precious souls. Oh, the wickedness of a nation to pracitce such behavior and think that we will not have to answer for it. Which the Lord would not pardon - two sins in the Bible are unpardonable; 1. the sin against the Holy Spirit, termed 'the unpardonable sin'. Jesus says all sin can be forgiven agains the Son and the Father, but the Spirit grieved and rejected is crossing the line. That sin of rejecting the Holy Spirit as He calls one to be saved. The Holy Spirit having been rejected and grieved away will not return and thus the sin of damnation. For without the Spirit drawing a soul to God, they cannot come. Men cannot come of thier own devices, it is the work of the Lord to call men unto salvation. He empowers the word, sends the Spirit and causes by grace for a soul to have a chance of salvation. 2. the blood that is shed on the ground must be atoned for. Manasseh's murders would not be pardoned and he was already dead and gone. Yet, the land and the descendants of the next generation would ahve to face the punishment of the Lord. Josiah found mercy during his reign but God promised that this sin of Manasseh's would be accoutned for. This generation may pass away, for we have already come almost 40 years since the Roe vs. Wade decision, but soon this nation will answer for their folly against a most Holy God.
